Chapel at St. Anthony's blends old and the new

From Newsday, what looks to be an excellent new chapel:

"In a school that stresses academics and athletics," said Brother Gary Cregan, the school's principal, "I wanted to sound out a loud statement that says God before all."

"A student's mother, Rose Russo-Barbour, of Old Brookville, found a 16th-century European altar which, with all of its history attached, sits as a focal point in the chapel.

"The limestone that craftsmen used to line the walls and floors came from a mountainside in Kurd-controlled northwest Iraq, Cregan said."
