Vatican City - Immediately after the imposition of the Pallium, Pope Benedict XVI turned to Cardinal Kaspar and said, "It's on now B!". He then donned a pair of sunglasses while George Thorogood's Bad to the Bone was played on loudspeakers. The Pope then announced 456 excommunications and ordered 715 priests and nuns to "see him pronto". Although entirely in latin, it was believed the list included Richard McBrien, Joan Chittister, and Hans Kung. There was some murmuring when Pope Benedict announced the first person to be made a bishop would be Christopher Blosser of Queens, NY.

Did anyone else see this today or was I dreaming?
